Since Camping...

Since camping the students have worked hard learning about the significant battles, figures, and implications of the American Civil War. The students have learned various ways to take notes from their social studies textbook, practiced their knowledge through sorting and sequencing activities, and had thorough discussions with the whole class, small groups, and partners. After reviewing the past few days the students are ready for their assessment today!

In addition, the students have worked hard studying their word work/vocabulary words. The students have practiced their words in various ways, some include: vocabulary squares, hangman, flash cards, and playing charades.

Since spring finally came to Minnesota the students have been able to take the classroom outside for some activities. The students especially enjoy earning DEAR (drop everything and read) outside.
